ESS+ 2026 Recap: Three Days of Fleet Technology Conversations in Colombia

ESS+ 2026 Recap: Three Days of Fleet Technology Conversations in Colombia

Three busy days, countless conversations, and plenty of new connections.

Our journey at ESS+ 2026 in Bogotá, Colombia has officially come to an end, and we’re leaving with more than just exhibition photos.

From August 26–28, the MettaX team joined security and technology professionals from across Colombia and Latin America at Corferias, where we had the opportunity to introduce our AI-powered video telematics and fleet management solutions.

And, more importantly, to listen.

Because exhibitions are not just about showing technology. For us, they are also an opportunity to better understand what fleet operators, partners, and technology professionals are looking for in a rapidly evolving market.

Real Conversations Around Real Fleet Challenges

Throughout the three-day event, we spoke with visitors about many of the challenges facing modern fleet operations.

One thing was clear: simply knowing where a vehicle is is no longer enough.

Fleet operators are increasingly looking for deeper visibility into:

  • How vehicles are being driven

  • What is happening inside and around the vehicle

  • How potential safety risks can be identified earlier

  • How video and telematics data can work together

  • How fleet information can be managed more efficiently

These conversations reinforced a direction we continue to see across the industry: fleet technology is moving beyond standalone devices and toward more connected, intelligent systems.

Bringing AI-Powered Video Telematics to the Conversation

At our booth, visitors had the opportunity to explore how MettaX combines AI-powered video technology, vehicle monitoring, and fleet management platforms to support safer and smarter operations.

Some of the solutions discussed included:

AI-Powered Driver Monitoring

Using technologies such as DMS and ADAS, fleets can gain greater visibility into potential driver and road risks, including fatigue, distraction, and unsafe driving behavior.

The goal isn't simply to record an event after it happens.

It's to help identify risks earlier.

Multi-Camera Vehicle Visibility

For many commercial vehicles, a single camera doesn't tell the whole story.

Multi-camera monitoring can provide broader visibility around the vehicle, helping operators better understand incidents and improve safety management.

GPS and Connected Fleet Data

Video becomes even more valuable when connected with operational data.

By combining video, GPS positioning, vehicle information, and AI events, fleet operators can gain more context and make faster decisions.

The MettaX IoT Platform

The conversations at ESS+ also highlighted the importance of bringing different data sources together.

Through the MettaX IoT Platform, video, vehicles, drivers, and operational data can be connected in one place—helping fleets move from simply collecting information to making it actionable.

More Than Technology on Display

For us, one of the most valuable parts of ESS+ 2026 was the opportunity to connect face-to-face.

Technology may be the starting point of a conversation, but understanding the people and operations behind it is what makes those conversations meaningful.

Over the three days, our team met with:

  • Fleet operators

  • Security professionals

  • Technology partners

  • Industry professionals

  • Potential distributors and solution providers

Every conversation gave us a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges shaping the region.

And for Peter and Ada, who represented MettaX on the ground in Bogotá, those conversations kept the booth busy from Day 1 through Day 3.

Looking Ahead

ESS+ 2026 may be over, but the conversations don't stop when the exhibition doors close.

The connections we made in Bogotá will continue to develop into new discussions, partnerships, and opportunities.

As MettaX continues to expand across global markets, events like ESS+ remain an important opportunity for us to get closer to the people and industries we serve.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us at Booth 920 & 920A and spent time getting to know MettaX.

Thank you for the conversations, questions, ideas, and new connections.

Colombia, you've been great. 🇨🇴

Next Stop: Chile 🇨🇱

While our time in Bogotá has come to an end, the next MettaX exhibition is already just around the corner.

From September 8–10, 2026, we'll be heading to Expo Seguridad Chile 2026 in Metropolitan Santiago, Chile.

Our team will be there at Booth P-01, continuing the conversations around AI-powered video telematics, fleet safety, and smarter fleet management.

If you'll be attending, we'd be glad to meet you in Santiago.

See you there! 🇨🇱
